Germany was once again the destination for my 49 km cycle ride today.
My route was a mainly familiar loop to the north of Heerlen with a few new off-road tracks added.
The landscape here is mainly flat open farmland and woodland areas.
It’s great to see the changing colours as the warm spring weather encourages things to flourish again.
Today’s featured image is from one of the deserted forest tracks just to the east of the German village of Niederbusch.
I’ve never passed this way before and was pleasantly surprised by the tranquility of this beautiful woodland.
