This morning’s 34 km cycle ride was mostly over the border in Germany, to the north and east of Heerlen.
I left home under clear blue skies accompanied by warm sunshine just before 08:00.
Although much of the route was on gravel tracks it was a fairly easy ride today with not so many steep hills.
The open German countryside is beginning to be so colourful, golden fields against azure skies making some interesting images.
Today’s featured image was taken near the small German village of Teveren.
My ride today is the 500th since I started cycling again on 30th April 2019.
Since then I have cycled 29432 km, on four different bikes, in four different countries.
The whole adventure has been recorded on my Ride With GPS cycling app which I also use for navigating my way around my routes.
I’m in my 70th year and am so fortunate that I’m still able to do this, it’s still a great adventure for me and above all great fun!
Where next, I wonder….?
