I needed to visit a cycle shop in Budel this morning & instead of taking the most direct route, I opted for a more scenic 33 km route.

This started with a leisurely ride along the banks of the Zuid-Willemsvaart canal, which was fairly busy today.

There were barges unloading grain at the flour mill in Weert and a very old barge, ‘Niagara’, riding high in the water towards Nederweert.

The rest of the ride was uneventful, but I managed to find a nice spot in the sunshine to have my banana.
