Drove my old Renault 5 all the way from Kent, England, through France & northern Spain to Barcelona where I caught the ferry to Palma, Mallorca.
Had a fabulous month with friends at Saint Elm, a tiny fishing village on the western tip of the island.
On 1st May we were sitting in a small bar by the harbour, watching the San Marino Grand Prix on the TV there when we saw the accident that killed Ayrton Senna.
