This week I travelled from Kent to Garelochead, north of Glasgow, over 450 miles in bitterly cold weather, especially once I got to Scotland.
I met Rai & his wife while they were on holiday in Mallorca in 1990. They kept a sailing yacht ‘Symphony of Rhu’ in Puerto Portals marina near Palma.
They took me out sailing in Palma bay quite a few times. Rai was also a keen ‘biker so we had loads in common.
We kept in touch and there was a standing invitation to visit, so I took the opportunity to go up there this week.
