Today’s 42 km cycle ride was a gentle tour of Teverener Heide just over the border in nearby Germany.
This is a large nature park located on land reclaimed from sand and gravel extraction pits.
I have cycled here many times in the past 18 months.
The rides are always different and provide some truly spectacular images.
Cycle tracks and footpaths are many and today I discovered quite a few new routes across the moorlands and forests.
Today’s featured image is a large memorial stone for a man who was instrumental in the landscaping of the area after sand and gravel extraction ceased many years ago.
