My cycling week continued this morning with a great 55 km ride to the north-west of Heerlen, very close to the border with Germany.

This is the longest ride of the seven completed so far this year.

I’m gradually increasing my overall fitness by increasing the daily distances.

My objective is being able to sustain 100 km + daily rides over a week or more.

I find also, on recent rides, that I am stopping less so the physical effort is more or less continuous.

For example, today I cycled for 2 hours, 39 minutes including stops totalling just 7.4 minutes.
