My cycle ride this morning consisted of a 36 km loop to the south of Weert via some nice local forest tracks.
The weather was overcast, bitterly cold and the very strong westerly wind made it feel even colder.
However, it had been two days since my last ride out and even in less than ideal conditions I felt the need to get out and about for a while.
Today’s featured image is from the woodlands surrounding De Ijzeran Man (The Iron Man), a sports and leisure complex to the west of Weert.
From here I followed the canal for a while before taking familiar tracks through the woodlands of Laurabossen.
I then passed through Stramproy, Els and Swartbroek to arrive home in just over two hours, grateful for cup of tea and a hot shower!
