My cycle ride this morning was a 37 km loop to the south-west of Heerlen, with about 12 km ridden in neighbouring Germany.

I left home just before 07:00 and it was already warm and sunny.

After about 15 km I paused for a while in the Dutch hamlet of Oud Lemiers.

The featured image today was taken there right at the border with Germany.

To the south (left) of the small stream is the Netherlands and to the north (right) is Germany.

This is quite a hilly area and I had a few steep ones to contend with today including a 4 km incline to Ubachsberg.

Conveniently there is a nice place to pause at the top, where the last photos were taken.
