After walking many kilometres in Amsterdam last week, I needed to re-acquire my cycling legs.

What better way to do this than ride a nice 50 km loop into Germany, to the north-east of Heerlen this morning.

It’s been two weeks since I last cycled so I was really looking forwards to a cycle ride in the warm spring sunshine.

It occurred to me that I’ve been using my e-Bike too much in recent weeks so today I elected to ride my human powered me-Bike.

The planned route was almost entirely on familiar roads and cycle tracks through open German countryside.

Today’s featured image is from a recently cut field near the German hamlet of Prummern.
