Today’s 102 km cycle ride was a demanding circuit to the west of Heerlen.

There were three distinct stages in this particular circuit.

The first 33 km was fairly hilly and the second 30 km was almost flat, alongside the Albert canal in Belgium.

The final 39 km was extremely hilly, through some of the longest, steepest hills in northern Belgium and the Netherlands.

Having not ridden the bike for a week my legs certainly know they’ve had a good workout today.
