This morning’s 48 km cycle ride, taking in three countries, was a first attempt at burning off the seasonal excesses of the last few days.

It was barely 7c as I left home with fairly strong winds out in the countryside making it feel so much colder.

Four km into the ride I passed into Germany for a short while.

The route then returned to the Netherlands and onwards through Belgium.

For the remainder of the ride I crossed the Dutch border with Belgium several times.

Today’s featured image was taken at the border, near the Dutch hamlet of Kuttingen, about 23 km from home.

I’m hoping to cycle at least once more this year, even though the weather forecast is not very encouraging.
