March was a challenging cycling month for me.

We’ve had such extremes of weather here in South Limburg.

This ranged from sub-zero temperatures to over 30c degrees towards the end of the month.

Heavy rain plus very high winds added to the mix and made it impossible to ride safely some days.

However, I’m really enjoying the hilly terrain here and I never get tired of exploring new places, far and wide.

I managed to ride 8 times this month, totalling 340 km and elevation gains amounting to 3165 metres.

My longest ride was 57.6 km to Kellersberg, Germany and the greatest elevation gain was 565 metres on the ride to Slenaken.

There are 205 new images in my galleries here and the March collection of rides is here.

Spring has certainly arrived here now along with some more reliable weather so I’m optimistic that I’ll get out on the bike much more in April.
