Leaving home before 0700, my 70 km cycle ride today was again mainly through rural Germany.
Today’s featured image was taken on the road between Linnich and Lindern.
From this spot at the side of the road I counted no fewer than 100 wind turbines neatly laid out on the higher ground.
This does not include the many currently under construction.
Germany certainly appears to have embraced wind power as a major renewable source of electricity.
I often see evidence of this as I cycle around the countryside but today it was impossible to photograph in excess of 100 wind turbines in one shot.
