Strong winds discouraged a longer ride today but my 37 km route through local countryside was still a lot of fun.
I certainly wasn’t the only one out on two wheels today, with many solo cyclists as well as groups making the most of the sunny and somewhat windy conditions.
Passing through the village of Swartbroek the windmill looked particularly impressive against ever changing skies, so I could not resist a photo.
Continuing the loop through Tungelroy and skirting around Stramproy I once again enjoyed the cycle track through the woodlands of Laurabossen, emerging by the canal for the straight run back to Weert.
As is my habit now, I stopped by the canal bridge in Weert, just to watch the world go by for a while and soak up some sunshine.
