Set off much later than usual today for a 46 km cycle ride to the north of Heerlen.

I have a bit of a cold at the moment and at breakfast time I really didn’t feel like cycling at all.

Three hours later I decided to go for a shorter ride instead of the 100+ km ride I originally planned for today.

Once out into the countryside there was light rain which was enough to discourage frequent stops for my usual photographs.

Today’s featured image is one of two taken at Bovenmeer, close to the Dutch town of Schinveld.

I was out for little more than two hours, but happy I made the effort to cycle for a while.
